I have been teaching for 40 plus years! I love the fact that I can play a role in ‘lighting a fire’ for learning! Contributing to an awareness of the value of Nature all around us, is also important to me. In addition, I find it rewarding to support the emotional development of young children, and to foster their independence and resilience.

I have been teaching for 8 years. I love being able to boost the confidence in our youth, teaching them that they are far more capable than they may think. I try to be a positive influence in their lives, and try to make a difference where I can. I enjoy helping to motivate them, watching them grow and develop, and seeing that difference from the beginning of the year to the end. My favourite is witnessing special moments – especially when something just ‘clicks’, creating a love of continual learning and never giving up.

I have been teaching for 16 years. The best thing about teaching is to see the growth in the children through the year. I find it so rewarding to watch, and know that you have made a difference in their lives. Children are fun and I find that there is never a dull moment, making every day (no matter how hectic my personal life might be at the time) different and interesting!

I have been working with children for 31 years. I love teaching, because I am doing something different and sharing my creativity, while opening the children’s eyes to finding their own creativity, and putting what’s in their hearts and minds on to paper.

I have been teaching for 14 years. I love to see the excitement on their faces as they see you in the morning, the free hugs and love, the unequalled freedom of their self-expression through play, art and dance. More than anything, the children are my teachers every day.

I have been teaching for 26 and half years. I love witnessing the progress made by children from the beginning of the year, to the end, and knowing that I facilitated that progress. I also love helping each child achieve their own potential, and seeing the joy on their faces when they realise that they can, in fact, do something that they could not, or were struggling with.

I have been teaching for 13 years. I love being part of my student’s growth, and enjoy seeing their progress from having no experience of the isiZulu language, to being able to converse and express themselves.

Every day in the classroom is an opportunity for discovery and I love guiding students as they unlock their creativity and gain confidence in their abilities. I aim to create an environment where children feel appreciated, heard and excited to learn.

I have been teaching for 16 years. Every day is an adventure when you’re a teacher. There is laughter and learning, and something unexpected always happens! As a principal, there are many different roles to play: maintaining our beautiful campuses, interacting with parents, guiding the curriculum and planning for the school’s future are just a few of the exciting and enjoyable daily tasks of a principal!

I have been teaching for 23 years. I love my job and teaching pre-primary is were my heart lies. Watching your class develop and grow over the year, gaining independence is the best part of the job. Their curiosity about their environment is fascinating to observe as they navigate and explore the pre-primary environment.

I have been in the Pre-Primary environment for almost 20 years. School is my happy place, everyday is filled with love and laughter. I love making a difference in the lives of the ‘littlies’ I teach.

I have been teaching for 17 years. Teaching has provided me with an avenue to establish meaningful connections with the children in my care. I have had the chance to get to know the children on a personal level, understanding their unique strengths and challenges, and supporting their individual growth. As Principal, I enjoy the opportunity to interact with the wider school community.
